Were Jehovah's Witnesses Correct In ANYTHING They Taught?
by minimus inor are they as correct as any other false religion?.
-
JW GoneBad
IMO it's not so much the teachings they got right but rather the teachings they are soo wrong about and stubbornly hold on to, such as: the blood policy, the abusive disfellowshipping and shunning practice, 1914, the 'know-it-all' thinking of the Governing Body, the elder and related judicial committee arrangement (which by the way is due for a major overhaul), the 'thy shall not give to charity' custom, the 'thy shall not take part in toasting' rule and so many other pharisee like edicts.
The JWs are viewed by the world of mankind as lunatics and deservedly so!

Blood Watchtower's Misrepresentative
by Marvin Shilmer inblood watchtower's misrepresentative .
today i added a new article to my blog addressing remarks made by one of watchtowers misrepresentatives.
like so many others, he presents information that is at odds with verifiable data.
-
JW GoneBad
Gene Smalley is the WTBTS' knucklehead spokeshole on the 'blood policy' and obviously he doesn't know what he's talking about. This is one of many features of 'true worship' where the witnesses truly lack unity of thought.

Watchtower Quitter of a Promise
by Marvin Shilmer inwatchtower quitter of a promise .
today i added a new article to my blog addressing a promise allegedly of god that watchtower quit on.
watchtower quit on a promise.

Thank you Marvin. I like how you show the WTBTS are knuckleheads in their understanding of spiritual matters. They should focus on doing what they do best: Scraping gum off concrete and from under stadium seats and cleaning toilets!

What was your most DISTURBING event as an elder ? (Per T.O.S. no full names please).
by Balaamsass ini'll start the ball rolling.
dealing with kids in any type of judicial manner.
i would do everything i could to get parents to "deal with it-kindly" at home.

What was your most DISTURBING event as an elder ?
Too many to relate.
If I had to mention one duty of an Elder that disturbed me the most was ...................being a 'hatchet' man. I had no business cutting 'friends' off from their family, loved ones and friends by way of the WTBTS' disfellowshipping policy.
Disfellowshipping the WTBTS' way is unscriptural, unloving and not Christlike.

New Field Service Policy - jw's assigned to neighborhoods
by skeeter1 ini am looking for confirmation on the following:.
jws are now being individually assigned to smaller territories, and they are told to consistently work that same territory over & over again.
the reason is that the watchtower wants the jws to build relationships with the people in that area.

I think there was mention made of this at the recent Zone Meeting that took place in October (last month). I think it was covered by the elderly looking, used-up GB member Gerrit Loesh in his last part.
Hey skeeter1, this sounds like another practice of the Mormons that the JW's are wanting to copy, much like the 'Family Worship Night'.
This is basicaly the method of operation of the Mormon Missionaries in how they cover their territory. I see the same 2 Mormons constantly in our neighborhood doing RVs and so on. And this has been the Mormon custom for years!
For a religion that supposedly is being led by Holy Spirit, the WTBTS sure are a bunch of 'Copy Cats'!

Family Worship Night percentages
by JRK ini am curious how many families actually do this, and how many lie and say they do.
i would guess it is less than 50%.
i would say it is a good night for tv.. jk.

JRK: I would guess it is less than 50%
I would say you are right on!
Its' going to be an uphill battle for the WTBTS to turn the bad publicity of the 2008 U.S. Religious Landscape Survey around that showed 63% of JW children leave the faith when they become adults. Its' going to take more than 'Family Worship Night' to keep the youth in the 'Truth'.
JW youth know that WTBTS has nothing to offer them but LIES, PUBLIC REPROOF, DISFELLOWSHIPPING, SHUNNING, HUMILIATION, SHAME and the like.

Blondie's Comments You Will Not Hear at the 11-13-2011 WT Study (RUN RACE)
by blondie inthat the runners in a race all run, but only.
in the christian race, all who finish win that.
you do to finish and thus win that race?.
-
JW GoneBad
Par 4: "True, the race is long and arduous; th ere are many obstacles, distractions, and dangers along the way."
The WTBTS brings all these troubles upon itself and the R & F! Everything is self-inflicted. So, WTBTS, quit your bitching!
Thank you Blondie for the research.

JWs Depression and Suicide
by 00DAD insince jehovah's witnesses supposedly have "the truth" and are part of god's visible organization living in a "spiritual paradise" you would naturally expect that they should be the happiest people on earth!
this clearly is not the case.
wha happened?
-
JW GoneBad
Indian Larry: yes I do believe that being a witness does raise the odds that you will face some form of serious depression at some point in your life.
I might add that being a JW is also going to raise the odds that you'll entertain the thought of suicide more so than your average Joe!
The WTBTS along with its' GB can drive a guy crazy. Over the years I too have witnessed my share of friends hurting and suffering at the hands of the Org. Sad!
As the saying goes......"Just another day in paradise".
